The students at GNCGA are given a great opportunity to live with juniors and experience other cultures from around the world. While the students are here attending school, they live in upscale family homes in a development in Myrtle Beach called Carolina Forest. In one house, the students share 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and in the other house the students share 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We want the students to feel comfortable with their living environments, so they feel as if they are at their own home. The students have access to the neighborhood pool, basketball court, pond where they can fish, biking trails and other facilities.
At home, each of the students are taken care of by the wonderful house parents. The house parents are responsible for cooking healthy meals for them, shuttling them to and from the academy every day and making sure they don’t get behind on their homework
Since the students spend a lot of time around each other, they become very close with one another. Genevieve, a post graduate student stated, “All the guys here are like my brothers, we are one big family.”
